Monas Doc(Draft)
Summary
"Monas is a system designed to return the authority of owning and controlling data to individual users. It's a decentralized personal data store where users can decide for themselves how to handle and share their own data.
Monas adopts a peer-to-peer system that doesn't have a central server on the network. This allows each user to encrypt and store their own data in a secure manner.
Furthermore, users can have control over access to their own data, thus achieving privacy and autonomy in the web space.
The aim of Monas is not just to create a situation where users can manage their own data, but ultimately to enable users to reflect their will towards technology and corporations, and to govern them.
This system allows users to self-determine how to share and manage their data, securing a true private space. This enables users to control and express their actions and intentions in the digital space.
In the end, by providing a system where users can control their own data and self-determine how to use it, Monas reflects user intentions, contributing to the governance of technology and platforms. This is an important concept in considering AI governance and data governance, making it possible for us to democratically reflect our will towards technology."

Abstract
Unlike central server systems, Monas encrypts and securely stores data on a Peer-to-Peer network. Users have the ability of self-determination, choosing who, where, and whether to share or keep their data private.
The Data Controller enables access control over the data, creating private space onthe web. Monas cultivates privacy and autonomy onthe web space.

Aim
Monas adheres to the philosophy of Self-Sovereign Identity. We utilize cryptographic technology to enable users to make choices about their identity and data. Monas` purpose extends beyond just allowing users to manage their data;
Ultimately, it empowers individuals to reflect their intentions towards technology and corporations, enabling governance.

"What is Human Space?
Privacy: This is our human right, and it cannot be infringed upon by anyone other than the Data Controller.
Autonomy: We are the rulers of our data. We need to decide where and who we give our data to, who we share it with, and how we use it.
Therefore, Human Space refers to a Private space on the Web and Cyber realm where self-determination is possible."

"About Monas
"Monas is a decentralized Personal Data Store. Users govern their personal data as Data Controllers. Monas empowers users to reflect their intentions on companies and platforms." Peer to Peer Network
Monas does not store data on a central server, but instead stores it on a Peer to Peer network. Therefore, authorities (like nations or corporations) cannot control the network itself or infringe on the user's space.
This allows for the creation of a true private space for users alone.
We are considering implementing on IPFS.
However, there are problems with implementing on IPFS.
It's difficult to delete files and metadata, and Re-Encryption, an important function in the forthcoming Cryptree, is also challenging.
Temporary Solution:
An important consideration when thinking about this problem is how to prevent content (such as files) from being identifiable.
One potential solution is to manage whether it can be identified (that is, whether it's listed) on a distributed ledger.
This would entail creating a unique network mechanism.
If we dissect IPFS, it uses libp2p for the network part, and realization is possible. However, this area still needs a lot of work, and we want to your help Yudai.icon.
Access Control and Cryptree
One of the important features of Monas is access control.
Cryptree makes it possible to realize complex and flexible access control. Cryptographic Links
"It is possible for anyone owning key k1 to derive key k2."
The result of encrypting K2 with K1: K1 -> K2. This '->' is called a Symmetric Link.
The same as a Symmetric Link. K1 ⇀ K2. And, it can be updated to K1 ⇀K2'.
The Cryptree
"It is a cryptographic data structure consisting of keys and cryptographic links. It is a directed graph with keys as vertices and cryptographic links as edges."
By combining Symmetric Links and Asymmetric Links, it realizes complex and flexible access control.
Cleaning Function
One of the difficult things to do when controlling access in cyberspace is revoking.
The cryptographic key that the accessor might know is called a 'dirty key'.
Making this dirty key unusable is called Cleaning, and Monas can realize complex and flexible access control by implementing based on Cryptree.
Complex and flexible access control means the ability to divide or combine within private spaces, allowing data to be shared."
Architecture
We think of two types of writers (people who can write information into Monas) in Monas:
User: Data Controller
Users can freely save data such as photos and videos in their private space.
Platformer: Service Provider
Platformers can use information about the user (profiling, followers/followees, credentials) for data storage.

In other words, Monas allows for data interoperability by returning users between different platforms.
Monas will link between platforms by returning data that was previously siloed back to users.
Use case
For example, as a storage location for Verifiable Credentials (VC) or credit scores
There has been a problem of where to actually store them up to now
We also think it could be used for oracles to connect different blockchains.
Monas is a possible realization of the Fediverse I would like to hear everyone's ideas Yudai.icon".

"Regarding the position of companies and platforms
Often, the topic comes up about how companies can profit when data is returned to users.
This perspective often misses the fact that, by returning data to users, data which was once monopolized and inaccessible becomes accessible to anyone.
This means it is possible to acquire more data than ever before.
A cooperative network is created where participants can freely transfer value between networks from different contexts.
This maximizes the network effect.
And with Monas, it is possible to connect different contexts, different layouts, and different platforms.
This is a movement that is already happening in blockchain."

Monas gives power in terms of privacy to the user.
Until now, data has been controlled by companies, platforms, countries, and organizations.
This hasn't been for our benefit, but rather for the benefit of companies and platforms, or for authority.
It has been difficult to reflect our will concerning our future and destiny.
But Monas is different. It allows our will to be reflected.
It allows us to choose not to give data to incorrect platforms or organizations.
This leads to the governance of technologies and platforms.
This is why we need to think about Data governance when considering AI governance, and we need to democratically reflect our will towards technology. Monas can be used for the governance of technology.

In the end,
The goal of Monas is not to make profits from data.
While we will aim for the realization of Data labor and UBI, it is not acceptable to give up privacy for the purpose of making a profit. This is the boundary of how much information to disclose and how much to keep private.
It is meaningful for the user themselves to determine this boundary.
What one uses as a criterion for drawing this boundary line will differ from person to person.
Monas can create a Personal Data Store that suits the individual.
